My GlassesShop.com experience has been the most successful as far as ordering glasses online goes.
I have tried other sites and the reason I have used more than one site and have ordered several times is not because I wanted several frames to match different outfits but because the quality of the frames did not hold up. I felt like I was constantly ordering new frames. I guess I didn't have a problem with it because I figured I was getting what I paid for.
When I received my glasses from GlassesShop.com I was blown away.
First of all, I was immediately whisked back to a season in college where I had a similar pair of glasses. I time when I travelled the globe. Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Holland. Good memories with good friends. It's funny how a pair of glasses can take you back.
Then, I picked up the glasses frames and put them on. I felt like a hundred bucks. Actually, it felt like the glasses should cost over a hundred bucks but in reality it cost much less than that- I couldn't believe it. Kind of like how I feel every time I walk out of Aldi with a cart full of groceries that would cost me twice as much at any other store!
The photos do not do these frames justice. They are amazing. Good, quality, frames. The lenses are amazing too, they have taken a beating from not only me but from my two year old. Several months later they are still going strong. Scratch free and beautiful.
My friends know I'm thrifty. They also know that I most likely am not the type to go to the mall to buy my glasses. When they ask me about online prescription glasses they ALWAYS assume that the cheap price are only for the frames and not the lenses. This is not true. The lenses ARE included. Of course you can upgrade and receive thinner lenses if you have a strong prescription but I was happy with what I got. The thick frames hid the thick lenses in my case. So, yes, you CAN get both the frames and lenses for one low cost. I love it. If you haven't ordered prescription glasses online yet, try it, what is it going to hurt? I have spoken to people who are nervous about entering in the right prescription but the website really makes it super easy. All you need is a prescription from your doctor and you just type in the information. It really is that easy. I say, go for it! You will not be disappointed with GlassesShop.com.
