After being out of the country for a year, one thing I was looking forward to coming back to was, FALL!! Not having distinct seasons where we were over the past year has made me crave the cooler weather. The recent signs that fall is almost here has put a smile on my face. And the faces of my kids! One fall tradition they were looking forward to getting back to was the Franklin County Agricultural Fair. So we went!

Yes, the fair is back this year with some of their traditional attractions such as the petting zoo and horseback riding. Also, this year, they have an educational and entertaining milking demo which my husband found quite interesting.

My four-year-old was drawn to the Cowboy Circus. All of my kids enjoyed watching this entertaining show complete with audience interaction.

Personally, I was inspired by looking at the booth where all the prize-winning produce and arts and crafts were displayed. Eggs, homemade canned goods, baked goods, flowers, paintings photographs and more.

My kids loved the rides from the motorcycles to the hog drop. My little ones were drawn to the merry-go-round and the train, of course! The lines were not too terrible the evening we went but if you want to beat the lines this weekend, I would suggest going early just to be sure your kids can get the rides in without having to wait in crazy lines.

Additionally, plenty of games are available for kids of all ages to win prizes of all sorts. I saw many kids (and adults) walking around with their hard earned prizes.

Other entertaining activities that my kids enjoyed included a lumberjack show, pig races and an animal show.

Even the Franklin County bookmobile was there with activities and books to check out!

The Fair is Open Today, Friday September 20th from 5 pm until 10 pm
and Saturday noon until 11 pm!
