The Harlem Globetrotters are traveling the globe with their SpreadGame tour have they visited your city yet? Entertaining families is what the Globetrotters do best. They have been doing it for 95 years! Even if you are not a sports fan, the entertainment value alone is worth it.

I brought my youngest two boys to a game recently, and they cannot stop talking about it with their family and friends. They loved it! My first grader said, "this is the most fun I've had in years!" Apparently we don't get out much. I remember having a blast thirty years ago when I saw them as a kid and was so thrilled to take my youngest two who seemed to have just as much fun as I did.

I was slightly thrown by the black jerseys replacing the iconic red, white, and blue but the trick shots were just as good as I remember. My sons' highlight was Globie, the inflatable version. I even had a good belly laugh when he came out on the court.

They also were so excited to see Spiderman and were highly impressed by the tricks he performed.

To top things off, we made sure to purchase the iconic Harlem Globetrotters basketballs. I noticed that some kids brought their own red, white, and blue balls for the players to sign, which I imagine were cheaper on the Internet. If you find yourself at a game without one, don't fret, they have a large inventory for you to choose from at a store open throughout the entire game. I noticed that there were piles of children younger than the age of five there and for a four-quarter basketball game with snippets of entertainment sprinkled through, it can get quite long. Many parents simply allowed their kids to play with their balls in the aisles and hallways and they seemed quite entertained.

My kids did pretty well. We arrived forty minutes early so we could find our seats (which were super close to the court!), buy a ball, and watch the players practice. They were impressed by all of the moves! After the second quarter, there was a short break so we simply took that time to walk around the arena and they were good to go until the end of the game. To beat the traffic we left with only two minutes left on the scoreboard but I know people stayed afterward to grab autographs which would be an excellent idea if your kids are older! Overall, we had a great time even though we aren't typically "sports people." The entertainment was funny, quirky, and my kids and I had a blast.
