                                                                      My Thoughts

I was pleasantly surprised to see within the trailer, that a local actress is an extra in this film! She and her family are so sweet and I miss seeing her around at local homeschooling events now that she is pursuing her acting career. The world of film is busy and like the character of Tyson, she is definitely chasing her dreams. I found it humorous that she played a mean high school girl who glared at Tyson who had been homeschooled his whole life when he first entered the classroom. Considering she was homeschooled growing up it just made me laugh. :)

This movie was filled with inspiration and real-life situations. I highly recommended this movie to a friend of mine who works with autistic kids on a regular basis because I knew she could relate, especially with the running part, she had seen many children run off when faced with difficult situations. Yet when I recommended it to another friend I told her that her younger kids probably should not watch it with her and her husband since there are a few mature themes in the high school classroom scenes. If you have younger children in the home, please take note.

If you know of anyone with a ministry to autistic kids or their parents they need to see this film. The restoration theme is powerful as you watch the relationship between Tyson and his dad strengthen throughout the film. Additionally, anyone with or without kids would be inspired by this film. Be sure to check it out in theaters this weekend!
