Sticker Hero (A Timberdoodle Review)

What do you do with your little learners when their hands are itching for activities? Sticker Hero, part of Timberdoodle's PreK Curriculum Kit, is what my youngest has been using now that we have started the new homeschooling year. With over 506 stickers to use within 35 activities, this book is a perfect to addition to any homeschool with younger learners.

Helping to build confidence, the Sticker Hero book provides creative play for can-do kids. They get so excited with the first few pages because of the simplicity and then they barely realize that they are increasing in difficulty as they work through the pages. After a few pages in, my son did ask a few questions as far as needing to understand the instructions, but overall, he was able to work on the book independently. This makes it the perfect book to have on hand while teaching the older ones. I am right there and available to answer questions if any come up, but, to be honest, they rarely do.

I loved sticker books as a kid and so did my older kids. The Sticker Hero book takes sticker books to a whole new level! Combining education with fun and bright colors, you are not left fighting with perforated paper stickers that you need to lick and attempt to adhere to a paper sheet, that can lead to a wet mess. Instead, each of the pages are glossy and the stickers are glossy, too. These are high quality and teach valuable skills including reasoning, numbers, and critical thinking.

The characters in the book are super adorable and so are the activities. How cute is it to create pictures and play games with ice-cream party, playground, and train themes? The variety of activities makes this book fun for boys and girls with all kinds of interests. My son loved all of the food-related activities from the cookie page to the restaurant one.

Even though this was created for preschoolers, my first grader is the one that has been using this which is why I would expand the age range to kindergarten and first graders. You might even see your three-year-old enjoying this! Some kids enjoy activities that are geared towards younger learners to help with review and to make learning more enjoyable. This is the perfect morning basket addition to encourage your little one to practice simple skills first thing in the morning before moving on into more challenging activities. Those small wins in the morning are key to a successful homeschool day!
