Fall in Love with Homeschooling

We have finally found our groove for the school year and I am loving it. Seeing the needs of each of my children and finding the resources to meet them have been a tremendous blessing. One child struggles with dyslexia and thankfully with homeschooling, the one on one time helps significantly. Another child needs remedial help in math. A cheap Goodwill find took me on the path to finding an excellent math curriculum to help this year. The $200 workbook was picked up for less than a dollar and the teacher's key and test book was found on  discount sites online giving me a quality curriculum worth hundreds for a fraction of the cost.

We also have Bible covered at an affordable price. Bible Study Guide for All Ages gives me what I need to not only go over the basics of the Bible but the details found in the Old Testament which can be intimidating to tackle with young children. This curriculum makes it easy to tackle challenging, lesser known Bible stories—and fun.

What I appreciate about their program is that the BeginnerIntermediate and Advanced Student Pages do not require any teacher visuals/guides/keys to do the lesson. Scripture references are provided on the Student Page itself to answer questions. If you prefer teacher keys though, they do offer Beginner Teacher Visuals and Intermediate and Advanced Teacher Keys. These are intended primarily for Bible classes but everyone homeschools differently. Only if you are using the large Wall Maps & Time Line supplemental materials along with your Intermediate or Advanced Student Pages is a Teacher Key required, since the Teacher Key tells you when to put labels on and take them off. The Wall Maps & Time Line are wonderful tools that really help students understand the whole story of the Bible and the geography of what they read in the Bible, but not everyone has room for them. Time Line and Map activities are included in the PrimaryIntermediate and Advanced Student Pages.

I did use the wall maps and time line with my older students but then I ended up putting them in a binder for easy access instead of hanging them on our walls.

When you fall in love with your homeschooling curriculum, your kids most likely will too, helping the year go more smoothly. This program is easy to teach, fun to teach, and easy to stay consistent with the whole year through so that won't happen!
