Thanksgiving Fun Activity Pack

The homeschool resource website Write Bonnie Rose has an adorable Thanksgiving Fun Activity Pack that you can begin implementing today in your homeschool—no prep required! Developed for K–1st grade, this can be used with preschoolers or older children as well. My first grader has enjoyed coloring the letters provided that spell out Happy Thanksgiving—just in time for the upcoming holiday! The size fits a traditional-sized chalkboard or white board that you might have hanging up in your homeschool room or dining room.

With over thirty pages, this activity pack includes a turkey craft, spelling activities, a Thanksgiving card, matching, copywork, simple math, letter practice, and more! Just in time for Thanksgiving, my son has been diligently working on his banner to hang on our chalkboard. We love to decorate for holidays. We already have our fall decorations in place complete with our Thanksgiving-themed picture books that we pull out year after year.

Has anyone else noticed that Thanksgiving seems to get left in the dust in the retail industry? Sure, you will see turkeys and turkey roasters for sale in the grocery stores but everything else pushes Halloween and Christmas earlier and earlier. Thanksgiving seems to be an afterthought. In our home, Thanksgiving means family. Memories. Tradition. Whether we celebrate it at home with venison from our backyard or surrounded by friends with turkey, stuffing, and the whole traditional nine yards—it is always special and not something I want to be left out or pushed to the side.

That is why I like to have worksheets, workbooks, picture books, recipes, and activities on hand for my littles to work on throughout the month of November. Schooling always looks a little different throughout the holidays regardless of how many things I have or remove from my plate—things always come up in one way or another and I need to be prepared. Having materials such as Write Bonnie Rose resources at my fingertips is a life saver to help keep the education going with a flare of fun! I love the engaging graphics, content, and materials! I highly recommend her products. The best part is they are super affordable.
