Have you ever felt the urgency to BE A VOICE for others in need. Well this morning, while getting ready for church, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of a busy Sunday morning of getting three little ones (and myself) ready for church, I feel the URGENCY to share the following with you......

Many of us Christians understand that we are to "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper who love thee..." (Ps 122:6). I believe this, and hope you understand the heart of this post is that I fully take this scripture literally, even today.

Eleven years ago, I had the pleasure of spending some time with some wonderful PALESTINIAN CHRISTIANS in Bethlehem. I volunteered for several months, following the 9/11 attacks, in Bethlehem Bible College. There, I met a man whose story I have never forgotten.

This man, had his parents KILLED by the hand of ISRAELI SOLDIERS in the SIX DAY WAR. Yet through the forgiving power of  JESUS CHRIST, this man was able to FORGIVE for the pain that he suffered from the loss of his parents.

There is POWER in forgiveness and I remember sitting in the office of this man, the president of the Bethlehem Bible College as he shared with me his story. He explained how after he forgave, God gave him the VISION for opening a Bible School in Bethlehem. With only a few "dollars" in hand, he was able to start up this school, in faith, and God has BLESSED it.

I honestly believe, that like RAHAB, the PALESTINIAN CHRISTIANS, can be protected in this time of battle between the Israelis and Palestinians. Those Christians who have accepted JESUS and his plan for his people, and Israel, will be SAVED from destruction even as Rahab was when the walls of Jericho fell down!

Please, I ask you, as you pray for Israel, DO NOT FORGET OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN PALESTINE! They need our prayers and our support, it is God's will for all men to be saved, and indeed God is doing a mighty work in the church there. I've worshiped with them, prayed with them, studied the word with them and know there are those who LOVE THE LORD in that place! I choose to be the voice this day, PLEASE PRAY!!

  1. Praying for peace in Israel is about the only thing that we can do. We must have faith that God will protect them. Thank you for this great reminder.

  2. It's funny how a "family feud" between Jacob and Esau is still going on today. I pray for peace everywhere and that the war and killings in general end!
