As we traveled to the San Antonio area we made sure to plan a visit to SeaWorld San Antonio . How could we not?! Ever since my daughter developed a love for dolphins she has been wanting to see a SeaWorld dolphin show! Whenever she would see dolphins, whether at Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach or South Padre Island, all she would talk about was wanting to see one up close, like at SeaWorld. She got her wish! As soon as we arrived, we checked the schedule and made sure we knew exactly when and where the dolphin show was so we could get good seats! Before we entered the park, we made a stop to the SeaWorld Pet Kennels and dropped off our dog. Yes, we were traveling with a dog! Sometimes that can be a bit troublesome but we are thankful that having a dog did not hinder us from being able to visit SeaWorld while we were traveling.        As a homeschooling mom, I had been bugging my husband to visit the Alamo since we have been in South Texas/Mexico the past year. With only a month left in our adventure in this part of the country, he finally agreed. While visiting South Padre Island for a quick vacation we were able to spend some time at the Schlitterbahn Outdoor Waterpark !  Schlitterbahn is a resort that includes unique lodging and activities that are fun for both kids and adults. Not only do they have an outdoor waterpark but an indoor waterpark if you are traveling to the area off season. We were planning on visiting both parks but halfway through the day there was thunder and lightening which continued for the remainder of the day and they do not issue rain checks. We were content with the four hours we spent at the outdoor park and felt we had a full and exciting experience but it is something to keep in mind when planning a visit to Schlitterbahn.
