Encountering God Study Bible (Review and Giveaway)

Before I get into this review, let's backtrack. Everyone has a past, whether you grew up in a Christian home or not. I have been saved 20+ years so it is easy to forget the past sinful days of my youth but when I saw that the Blackabys just released the Encountering God Study Bible, I was whisked back to those days—in a good way. The Bible says to “Look to the Rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug, (Isaiah 51:1).” When I think of that verse, I think of what God brought me out of. Where he brought me from. In college, while studying Elementary Education, I would go to class during the day and hang out with the wrong crowd at night. A sweet little Italian girl who grew up in Black Forest, Germany, befriended me. She asked me if each Sunday afternoon I would want to visit her dorm room to go through a Bible study called Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. We have found what we have been looking for in The Pencil Grip Inc .'s 24 pack of Magic Stix Washable Markers . These markers are the perfect fit for a homeschooling family such as ours. I am thrilled to tell you about our experience with them! Normally, I do not have a favorable impression of markers for several reasons. For one, as a kid, I remember markers having such a strong smell that it would give me a headache. I know some kids enjoyed the scents but it certainly was not for me. And to be honest, if I had markers like that in my house today, my kids would probably stick them up their nose or something. Another reason I have a distaste for markers is the drying out factor.
