My First Sticker By Number (A Timberdoodle Review)

Looking to add new materials to your homeschool this year? My First Sticker by Number Cards are included in the Timberdoodle PreK homeschool kit and have been the perfect addition to our homeschool—even though my kids are elementary age. What makes this a great resource for your homeschooling morning basket or craft and activity bin is that you can pull it out when you need a hands-on activity to keep your child busy that is completely self-explanatory. If your child knows his basic numbers, he can complete this on his own with minimal help from mom. This is great if you want to have a table activity available for your child for when you are whipping up dinner or working with a sibling on his schoolwork. These sticker sheets include a toucan, butterfly, turtle, and more. Boys and girls of all ages will love this activity. My two younger elementary homeschoolers gravitated towards these sticker sheets on rainy days when they could not play outside and screen time was not an option. Having these on hand for your crafty little ones is an excellent way to provide hand-eye coordination and number practice without them even realize that they are learning.

If your child is just at the beginning stage of learning their numerals, this is a great number recognition tool to help reinforce what they are learning. The stickers are colorful and easy to peel off. The amount per page are not too overwhelming but enough to give your child the feeling of accomplishment when they complete each project.

What I love about these pages is the fact that they are colorful in and of themselves and then once your child adds the stickers, they are complete. My boys are both hands-on and into crafts tremendously but sometimes they need a little help—a little direction in knowing where to get started. These activity sheets provide quality finished products that are still hanging up on our wall today. They are proud of their work, they were able to practice math skills, and they were able to finish something that they started—which is pure gold as far as character building.

The Pencil Grip Inc. {Review}

We have found what we have been looking for in The Pencil Grip Inc .'s 24 pack of Magic Stix Washable Markers . These markers are the perfect fit for a homeschooling family such as ours. I am thrilled to tell you about our experience with them! Normally, I do not have a favorable impression of markers for several reasons. For one, as a kid, I remember markers having such a strong smell that it would give me a headache. I know some kids enjoyed the scents but it certainly was not for me. And to be honest, if I had markers like that in my house today, my kids would probably stick them up their nose or something. Another reason I have a distaste for markers is the drying out factor.
