Sitting down to teach homeschoolers to memorize ALL of the U.S. Presidents in one sitting sounds daunting—though it is completely possible with catchy songs, videos, or kids books. To be honest, it never seemed important to me for my kids to know all of the names of the U.S. Presidents in order if they knew nothing about them. Many would disagree with me. They prefer to teach their kids a song or rhyme so they are at least familiar with the names. Then, when those names come up in history they are a peg so to speak that the child can grab onto since they remember the name. That is just not me. I thrive more on the living history concept. More specifically living books and living ideas. I would rather slowly go though, teaching my children about each U.S. President, one at a time highlighting their major accomplishments, the years that they were in office, and any notable facts about their lives.

The U.S. Presidents Unit Study does just that. Breaking it down into four easy to digest sections, homeschoolers of all ages learn important facts about each president. This is perfect for our homeschool. If I want to go more in-depth learning about a specific president, I can. We have found what we have been looking for in The Pencil Grip Inc .'s 24 pack of Magic Stix Washable Markers . These markers are the perfect fit for a homeschooling family such as ours. I am thrilled to tell you about our experience with them! Normally, I do not have a favorable impression of markers for several reasons. For one, as a kid, I remember markers having such a strong smell that it would give me a headache. I know some kids enjoyed the scents but it certainly was not for me.
